(2016-2017) RED INTERREGIONAL – integration of regions and impact in the community

As an evaluation of the implementation of the model’s first year, we realize that it’s necessary to ask ourselves how to continue without promoting a paternalist or cultural colonization link in the communities. As an answer, the 2017 the planning considers a strong perspective in the professionalization of local artists and relevant agents of each zone, new activities are added appended to the artistic circulation and education such as the student leaders meeting “Mi territorio, mi cultura”, meetings with local artists and the meeting of intercommunal management, with excellent implication results of communities in the project.

In this second version 2017, the same districts of the RM participate, adding San Felipe, La Ligua and Quillota in the V region and the link with the Teatro Regional del Maule, through which Talca and Parral were intervened in the VII region. The same schedule methodology was used for the RM districts, this time with the selection of artists of the festival’s 2017 version and promoted that the best evaluated programs of RED 2016 were implemented in the V and VII region, this way, we were also able to complete a circulation route for called artists that considered a first metropolitan year and a second year of national itinerary. 

In RED 2017, a total of 15 performances, 15 workshops with the participation of 15 companies, 1 student leaders meeting, 1 local artist meeting and 1 management meeting were made, reaching a total of 1.760 direct beneficiaries. The evaluation of this second year is positive and gives us new supplies to work through a closest contact with the communities.
