The sanitary crisis forced all cultural institutions of the country to take a deep turn in participation formats and structure and circulation of artistic content, our network was not oblivious to this and after having a January with a face to face extension schedule of the Santiago Off Festival, two months later we couldn’t get around or leave our houses. That couldn’t be an impediment to continue developing the objectives we had set ourselves, there was a lot to lose. The territorial partners began to allocate their scheduling funds even to social aid for artists in their localities with the desire that those who were creative agents wouldn’t feel helpless in such a terrible scenario for performing arts. In 2020 we reinvent ourselves, but with the same spirit of previous years we were able to:
- Link artist with territories through the making of original audiovisual capsules that were based on conversations with relevant agents of the territories or from the same network partners with the artists.
- To put out theater, dance and contemporary circus plays throughout the network this time Online.
- Deliver educational content and online specialization of different nature and besides, parallelly, to all network partners, which it would have been impossible to do face to face.
- Be sustainable for another year as RED with the support of permanent online working tables.
This way, the network has been implementing during 2020 a total of 39 online activities: 1 launch assembly, 13 original audiovisual capsule creations for each territory and its transmissions, 13 transmissions of online plays, 2 seminars about mediation and marketing, 6 working tables, 2 contemporary dance workshops, 1 speech workshop, 1 technical advice, hoping to close with around 5.000 direct beneficiaries.
